After seven successful years at Stal Tops, Alberto Zorzi returned to his homeland. The international top rider would like to be closer to his family again but said in an interview with Italian magazine Cavallo that he also wants some rest. Zorzi intends to set up his own stable in Italy on a smaller scale than he was used to in the Netherlands. Zorzi had no intention of ever leaving Italy, but when he received an offer to come and work at Jan Tops’ stable in 2015, he could not say no. The job changed the life of the then 27-year-old show jumper. One of his biggest successes was winning the 2017 Nations Cup in Rome with the Italian team in fourth team place at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam.
