Andreas Helgstrand (DEN) has sold two of his most popular stallions, Valverde (Vitalis x Ampère) and Springbank II VH (Skovens Rafael x De Niro), in one fell swoop. The German businesswoman Yara Reichert (51) is the new owner of the two seven-year-old stallions. Reichert wants to introduce the two stallions in the sport, but for the time being they remain available with frozen semen at Helgstrand.
“It means a lot to me when a rider like Yara comes to me to help her find the perfect match. The fact that she fell in love with the two best studs is a great recognition for the whole team. The success lies not only with the person who finds and selects the good stallions, but also with the whole team that takes care of their education and healthy development, preparing them for the most difficult exercises in dressage,” says Andreas Helgstrand.
Bred by Rob van Puijenbroek and Reesink Horses, Valverde was not only the champion of the stallion selection as a two-and-a-half-year-old, but with Eva Möller (GER) in the saddle he achieved numerous victories (winner of the Westphalian championship three times in a row, Federal champion of five-year-old dressage horses and reserve Bundes champion as a four-year-old and world championship finalist).
The Swedish-bred Springbank II VH has a similar CV: he was champion and performance leader in Denmark, won several champion titles in Sweden and also competed at the World Championships for young dressage horses.
