The KNHS and CHIO Rotterdam have extended their agreement for another four years that ensures the competition in Rotterdam the O-status. This O-status means that the only official international jumping and dressage competition for seniors will be held in the Netherlands in Rotterdam. Belle de Bruin, CHIO Rotterdam chairman, and Maarten van der Heijden of the KNHS signed the agreement on Wednesday 21 August in Rotterdam. Van der Heijden explains: “Every national federation may register one competition per discipline with the international equestrian sports federation FEI for the organisation of an official nations cup competition. The KNHS has a lot of confidence in CHIO Rotterdam. We are therefore happy that we can extend our cooperation again. The organisation of CHIO Rotterdam staged three successful European Championships last weekend and they have once again convincingly put themselves on the international map.”
