Badinda Altena moves back to Helgstrand

Badinda Altena (Tolando x Goodtimes), who competed under the saddle of Pierre Volla at the Olympic Games in Rio (2016), the European Championships in Aachen (2015) and Gothenburg (2017), has returned to Helgstrand Dressage’s stable. The 16-year-old KWPN mare will be ridden by Jeanna Högberg. A spokesperson for Helgstrand Dressage stated to Dressprod that Badinda Altena is in training with them.

Badinda Altena, bred by the Timmerman family in Moordrecht (NED), has been owned by Helgstrand before and was then sold to Danish Grand Prix rider Charlotte Heering. With Heering, Badinda Altena could not match her earlier success with Volla. Heering rode the KWPN mare several times at national Grand Prix level in 2019 and rode one international Grand Prix in October 2020. At CDI3* Aarhus, she achieved 65.109% in the Grand Prix and 68.830% in the Spécial.
