Classic Orange Z passed away

It is with great regret that Christian Ahlmann and Studfarm Zangersheide announce the loss of the popular breeding stallion “Classic Orange Z”. The 5-year-old stallion died last week from the consequences of an inguinal hernia.

Classic Orange Z was purchased from Patrick De Roeck at the age of 3 and turned out to be one of the most popular young stallions at Stud Zangersheide. He did this thanks to his amazing appearance, combined with his mighty jumps, including during the open days in Lanaken. As a son of Cornet Obolensky out of the full sister of Coupe de Coeur, he also had a particularly strong pedigree behind him. It was a complete sport and breeding stallion and absolute promise for the future, which makes the loss great. In recent seasons, the stunning black-brown stallion convinced many breeders of his qualities, which resulted in remarkable foals. His first crop immediately produced the champion of the Z-Festival, Carinjo vd Holstenhoeve Z, a foal that was sold later in the season via the Quality Auction to the stallion stable of Paul Schockemöhle.
