After the scattering of his string of horses and Go Easy de Muze’s retirement, Darragh Kenny now welcomes a star, who is well known in France, to his stables. Urhelia Lutterbach (Helios de la Cour II), a 13-year-old Selle Français mare, has already performed at the high level, first with Grégory Cottard, who spotted her at 9-years-old, then with Olympic champion Kévin Staut. Her sale was a success, after her victory in the 5* Grand Prix of Lyon, she went to the United States to the Kerry McCahill’s stables.
The American rider, who was 23 years old at the time, competed Urhelia Lutterbach on the international circuit in 2020, before entrusting her to young German rider René Dittmer. When contacted by Studforlife, Kerry McCahill told them that in the end, she wanted to give her good friend Darragh a chance with their talented mare. So in Florida at the Winter Equestrian Festival the new pair will make their first official appearances.
