Forever d’Arco Ter Linden is retiring at his breeder’s stud

He should have been Ludo Philippaerts’ last star, but he was eventually a whole family horse par excellence, having performed under the saddles of five Philippaerts! The stallion Forever d’Arco Ter Linden (Darco x Tenor Manciais), full brother to Amaretto d’Arco, has had a brilliant career with a notable World Cup Final in Gothenburg, after having given Nicola Philippaerts his first clear round on the indoor circuit at the Belgian stage in Mechelen, in front of his home audience in 2015! It’s a moment that will remain forever engraved in the young man’s memory. They also took 2nd place in the World Cup stage in Washington, and 4th in the Global Champions Tour stage in Hamburg!

At the age of 16, the BWP stallion is leaving the Philippaerts stables where he has spent more than 10 years of his life, to return to the land of his birth at stoeterij Ter Linden, where he will now focus on his breeding career. “Forever Darco looks a lot like his sire Darco. He’s a real fighter in competitions, he has always given the best of himself. This positive frame of mind, which he also shares with Darco, is his best characteristic. He’s also the only horse the five of us have all ridden. Saying goodbye is never easy, but we know he is going home to where he was born 16 years ago. He will pass on some of his genetics as he continues his breeding career at Stud ter Linden,” says Ludo Philippaerts.
