Grand Prix rider and trainer Wilma van Bergen passed away

Grand Prix rider and trainer Wilma van Bergen, the wife of former national team coach Henk van Bergen, passed away on Wednesday, 2 March, after a long illness. They managed the monumental stable building at Landgoed Brakkesteyn, the Netherlands, for a long time. Brakkesteyn Estate was a centre of equestrian sports and was also the venue of the Dutch Dressage Championships for many years. In recent years, the couple lived in Kranenburg (Germany). With Grable (Able Albert xx x Amor), Van Bergen rode Grand Prix.
