It was a busy weekend and a busy Mother’s Day for German eventer and jumping rider Michael Jung. His wife Faye Füllgraebe-Jung recently gave birth to their son Lio and announced it on Instagram today. This weekend Jung also won the CCI4* in Malgrabe, a kind of home competition. Riding fischerChipmunk FR (by Contendro I), Jung won the CCI4*-S. He immediately took the lead in the dressage phase on 77,500. In the jumping phase he had one rail down and one time fault, but a foot perfect cross country round brought him the win in the end. The win also meant that Jung won the German national title for professional eventing riders. Second in the CCI4*-S was Sandra Auffarth with Viamant du Matz (by Diamant de Semilly). Third place went to Austria: Lea Siegl with DSP Fighting Line (by Ostermond).
