Kent Farrington was successful at the 5* level with the Belgian stallion Jasper (by Heartbreaker). The US rider competed with Jasper in 2018 and 2019 and recorded victories in Calgary, among others. However, the BWP was injured and is now going on to a new career in Germany. He will be available for breeding at Hengststation Völz. The twelve-year-old Jasper was born at Louis van Gestel in Belgium out of the Darco-daughter Wega van ‘t Gestelhof. The mare already produced several international jumpers. The stallion was first brought into the sport by the Portuguese Mario Wilson Fernandes before he came to Kent Farrington in 2018. Farrington won a 1.50m class twice with Jasper at Spruce Meadows in Calgary. Up until the stallion’s injury, the pair was regularly in the high ranks. Last year they only competed at some national shows in Wellington. They won four of the eight starts at 1.40m-1.45m level. In August Jasper jumped his last competition.
