Laboratory confirms rhino at CES Valencia Tour, one horse died

The National Reference Laboratory for Equine Diseases in Spain has confirmed that the infectious outbreak at CES Valencia is indeed the EHV-1 virus. One horse has now died as a result of the virus. 52 of the 159 horses have showed symptoms of the virus, such as fever and fatigue. One horse that was showing neurological symptoms has died. There are 159 horses in Valencia. Last Sunday, the event was halted because several horses showed symptoms similar to those of the EHV1 virus.
