Lordanos has died in the field at the age of 28

Hof Sosath reports on Facebook that Lordanos (by Landos) has died in the field at the age of 28. “At some point the day comes when you have to say goodbye to a horse that is in your heart. We are very sad and at the same time we look back in gratitude on many beautiful years together. He was a member of our family for more than a quarter of a century. Lordanos has been at home with us since 1995 and rejoices every day with his unequalled personality.”

His owner Gerd Sosath competed the stallion at 1,50m level and won many jumping classes with him. Janne and Hendrik won their first victories with him in the German A and S classes. Together with Landor S, Lordanos stands at the basis of Gert Sosath’s large stallion station. Lordanos has 106 approved sons and 46 offspring who jump or have jumped at the highest level. Among them Lady Lordana, Lex Lugar and Livestream. As a stallion he also passed on his jumping talent through very successful sons such as Light On and Lord Sandro DDH. “He has been a friend to us all these years and we have always been able to rely on him 100%. For hundreds of riders and breeders he is the father of their once-in-a-lifetime horse. No other stallion with us had as many fans as he did. He was a real foundation stallion.”
