Ludger Beerbaum breaks finger during first round GCL Super Cup

German show jumper Ludger Beerbaum broke his finger in the first round of the GCL Super Cup in Prague. The team member of the Berlin Eagles rode into the second round with a bandaged left hand and let his adrenaline control the pain. Beerbaum made a time fault in the first round with the only nine-year-old Monte Bellini daughter Mila. Everything seemed to be going well in the second round until the top bar of obstacle 9B fell down after a long hesitation. In the meantime, the rider was already two canter jumps away. Teammate Christian Kukuk received 9 penalty points with the grey Checker (by Comme Il Faut). In the saddle of Hanoverian Coby (by Contagio), Philipp Weishaupt dropped two bars. In total, the Berlin Eagles scored 22 penalty points, securing third place.
