Major events in Belgium and Germany prohibited until September

Neighbouring countries Belgium and Germany put a stop to major events until 31 August due to the corona crisis. During this period, 62 international equestrian events were scheduled in Belgium and Germany, which had not yet been officially cancelled.

One of the biggest events in this period is the CHIO Aachen. The organisation of this prestigious competition previously indicated that it would like to reschedule this year’s event, but a new date is not yet known. The event was scheduled from 1 to 7 June. Also the Global Champions Tour in Hamburg and the CCI5*-L of Luhmühlen would take place this summer. In Belgium, the Stephex Masters and Knokke Hippique, among others, will be affected by this measure.

The World Championship for Young Dressage Horses is on the calendar from 5 to 9 August. How the organization will deal with this new measure is not yet known.
