Olympic horse Elvis dies suddenly

Friday 5 February around 5 pm Nadine Capellmann was still happily greeted by Elvis (Espri x Garibaldi II) when she fed her horses. One hour later she came back and found Elvis dead. The Hanoverian became 25-years-old.

With Nadine Capellmann, Elvis belonged to the top of the dressage sport for years. The combination won gold with the German team at the 2006 World Equestrian Games and finished fourth individually, won Olympic gold with the German team in 2008 and managed to win many international titles.

In 2012 Elvis said farewell to the sport after finishing third in the World Cup qualifier in Mechelen.
