Pieter Devos has welcomed Kannabis van de Bucxtale

Pieter Devos has recently welcomed the eleven-year-old Kannabis van de Bucxtale (by Contact van de Heffinck) into his stables. The Belgian rider has shown in recent weeks that he makes a good pair with the black gelding. In early May they took second place in the CSI5*-competition in Grimaud in a 1.50m-course. Last weekend they finished 5th in a 1.50m class which was part of the CSI5*-GCT/GCL in Madrid.

Devos is looking forward to the future with his new mount. “I am very enthusiastic about Kannabis van de Bucxtale. I am looking forward to becoming a great combination with him in the future.”

Thierry Goffinet rode the BWP as a young horse. At the age of five, six, and seven, Kannabis van de Bucxtale competed at the world championships for young horses in Lanaken (BEL) with Goffinet. In the final for six-year-olds the combination put down a good performance by taking home the bronze medal. As a seven-year-old the gelding won the 1,40m course in Lanaken. In March of 2018, Dominique Hendrickx took over the reins. The dam line of Kannabis van de Buxtale originates from the breeding of Sjaan and Piet Griffioen.
