Research into starting place in exchange for VIP table on CSI shows

British freelance journalist Pippa Cuckson posted a request on Facebook to riders and owners for a research article. She wants to find out how often it happens that starting places are ‘sold’ for a VIP table.

‘Paycards’ seem to be acknowledged as part and parcel of funding international jumping shows, though they are actually against the rules. It is also a breach of FEI rules to oblige someone to buy a VIP hospitality table or other privileges in return for an entry. Has anyone ever reported concerns about paycard use to the FEI, a NF or the organiser or anyone else and if so, did anything happen? Please PM me in confidence if you prefer.
