Steve Guerdat’s sparkling lead mare, Bianca, passed away

Steve Guerdat’s sparkling lead mare, Bianca, passed away at the age of 15. The Swiss rider announced this during the press conference following his team victory in the Nations Cup of the CSIO5* in La Baule. He was asked what his plans were regarding his preparations for his horses concerning the Tokyo Games as well as the European Championships when he said that Bianca passed away in the morning due to a brain tumor.
Steve Guerdat then posted on his social networks: “My dear Bianca; My Queen; you left much too quickly and my heart is now broken. You gave us so much happiness these last years that this moment is cruel. Cruel because I would have liked to be able to offer you much more, because you will leave a great void. My heart rings hollow tonight because I already miss you. I tried today to fight for you and this victory in the nations cup is dedicated to you. You will join Princess Jalisca and from there you will watch over us. I never thought I’d have the chance to ride a horse of your stature and I am so proud of you. Rest in peace.”
She will undoubtedly be missed by all fans, her loved ones, her owners at the Albführen stud, and her rider.
