The organisation of the Sweden International Horse Show (SIHS) has decided to postpone the show to November 2021. The intention was to organise a special edition in February 2021, adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this turned out to be unfeasible.
In a statement, competition director Christin Ericsson says: ‘Our public expects sport and spectacle at the highest level and a great atmosphere. We cannot guarantee that for next winter. There is a pandemic going on and that brings with it restrictions. It is a difficult decision. We are convinced that next winter we will be able to meet the public’s expectations’.
The show would bring a number of exciting new things, including a completely new competition ring and new competition formats. Among other things, the SIHS would receive a CSI4*. The finals of the top ten dressage would also take place, as would an indoorderby and a World Cup round.
The SIHS will welcome the public from 25 to 28 November 2021.
