The Lusitano stallion Galopin de la Font passed away

The Lusitano stallion Galopin de la Font (Espanto x Zorro) died at the age of 28. Ridden by Daniel Pinto, the stallion represented Portugal at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen and Lexington, the Olympic Games in Hong Kong, the European Championships in Turin and Windsor, and the FEI World Cup™ Finals in Las Vegas. In 2010 Galopin de la Font was retired. “Proud, fiery, charismatic, powerful! Galopin was not just a horse, he was part of our family. He always made us proud. Galopin grew into greatness and that is how we will remember him. A special horse that was far ahead of his time,” said Daniel Pinto. Bred by Sylvain Massa, Galopin de la Font is also the sire of the international Grand Prix horse Nevado de la Font (Justin Verboomen), the international Small Tour horses Come Back de Massa (Renaud Ramadier), Davinci de Massa (Jordan Laplaca), Malcom X de Massa and many more. Malcom X de Massa competed in the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses last year.
